As an alternative, in Argentina’s Entre Rios Province you will have access to extended areas of lowland wetlands situated over an area of one million hectares which during the Argentinean winter tend to dry out allowing the opportunity to walk and stalk unfenced free-range moorlands and marshes. These are home to some spectacular examples of Wild Boar.
Forget about high volume driven hunts in fenced areas as this location offers so many opportunities that you simply will not believe your eyes - we have already had one European client take in excess of 50 pigs in one day in this area.
The way it works is unusual in Argentina since ‘Gauchos’ on horseback with dogs work ahead of the hunters locating and identifying the game. The volume is so plentiful that there is barely enough time to sit and pose for your ‘photo before the next beast is spotted at which time you must quickly make your way in order to deal with the next pig before moving on quickly to the next.
Hunters interested in this style of hunting will be well advised to ensure their personal fitness and mobility is appropriate for the rigours of such an adventure so if you are more comfortable with a passive hunting experience standing stationary waiting for pigs to be driven towards you or feel that you no longer have the stamina or appetite for hunting hard on foot then this really isn’t for you. However, if you are looking for a unique hunting experience over vast un-fenced wetlands where huge volumes of Wild Boar and Feral hogs can be taken then you will love it!
